Nedsatt blodsirkulasjon i beina

Claudicatio intermittens, "røykeben", er smerter i beina på grunn av for dårlig blodsirkulasjon i pulsårene (arteriene).

Åreforkalkning, det vil si avleiring av kolesterol og fettpartikler på innsiden av blodårene, er årsaken til "røykeben"
