Hepatitt E

Hepatitt E er en leverinfeksjon med hepatitt E virus (HEV) som smitter via mat eller drikke som er blitt forurenset av smitteførende avføring.

Verdens helseorganisasjon har beregnet at det årlig smittes over 20 millioner mennesker med hepatitt E. Sykdommen finnes overalt i verden, men høyest forekomst er i Sørøst-Asia.
