Pneumocystose

Lungebetennelse med Pneumocystis jiroveci er ofte den sykdommen som varsler at hiv-infeksjonen har utviklet seg til aids.

Lungebetennelse med pneumocystis forekommer nesten utelukkende blant hiv-smittede og blant pasienter med sterkt svekket immunsystem
