Magesår som fører til hull i magesekken

En sjelden komplikasjon til et magesår er at det går hull på magesekken eller tolvfingertarmen. Innhold fra magesekk eller tarm kan da tømme seg ut i bukhulen og forårsake en livstruende tilstand.

Kirurgi er vanligvis nødvendig om magesåret fører til at det oppstår et hull i magesekken. Men hos noen forsegles lekkasjen raskt av seg selv, og kirurgi er da unødvendig.
