Mikroskopisk kolitt

Mikroskopisk kolitt er en betennelse i tykktarmen. Den finnes i to varianter: Lymfocytær og kollagen. Tilstanden kan gå tilbake av seg selv, men gjenoppstår ofte.

Årsaken til mikroskopisk kolitt er ukjent. Man tror den skyldes en immunologisk reaksjon i slimhinnen.
