Interstitiell cystitt er karakterisert ved smerter i blære og underliv og økt vannlatningstrang med hyppige vannlatninger både dag og natt.

Interstitiell cystitt er i utgangspunktet en ufarlig, men til tider svært plagsom tilstand.
