Graviditet og diabetes

Gravide med diabetes har høyere risiko for komplikasjoner. i svangerskapet og under fødselen. Noen gravide utvikler diabetes i svangerskapet, såkalt svangerskapsdiabetes. God blodsukkerkontroll under svangerskapet reduserer risikoen for uønskede utfall i svangerskapet eller hos fosteret.

Kvinner med diabetes føder oftere store barn enn kvinner uten diabetes.
